Michael David Tarullo, age 72, of Louisville, passed from this world on Monday, October 17, 2022.

Mike started out working in the family business of lamination. Mike attended, and received, his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisville. Later he received his Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Mike blended the disciplines of Law and Engineering, and was a frequent lecturer and author on various topics relating to construction law. He also cherished time with his family and traveling when time permitted.

Preceding Mike in death were his parents, John Anthony and Mary Isabel (Kippenbrock) Tarullo.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Katja Tarullo; sons, Mick and Perry Tarullo; daughter, Tracy Simpson (Keith); grandchildren, Dalton (Kelly), Sophia, Miles, Mia, Jordan, Trent and Bertie; great-grandchildren, Theo Tarullo; as well as several extended family members and many good friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1960 Bardstown Road, with inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.

Memorial gifts in Mike’s honor may take the form of a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
